Some interesting stuff this year from Micachu, Sophie, Andy Stott, The Fall, Ed Blaney, and even Brian Eno had an engaging new solo album out. A special mention to Allie Goertz for her album "Sad Dance Songs", inspired by the cartoon series "Rick and Morty", which is simultaneously goofy and haunting - quite an achievement.
Also this year I finally caught up with the joys of Chris & Cosey, Little Scream, Black Randy and the Metrosquad, Judy Nylon, Nikki Colk's KaitO, and Alternative TV.
But without a doubt my find of the year was Kill Alters, who technically had I discovered the year before with their Godmode cassette release, but it was only recently I really embraced this. Singularly oppressive and cathartic, I made sure I saw them perform live during their micro tour of NYC.
